CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF VHB!
In 2026, Von Hertzen Brothers celebrate 25 years since our very first live show as a band. It feels like a good moment to pause, look back, and celebrate the journey so far — the records we made, the shows we played, and the people who’ve been there with us along the way.
Throughout the year we’ll be releasing special editions of albums that were important turning points for us, many of which have been out of print for a long time. There’ll also be new merch, special live shows and plenty more stuff to share with you as we dig through the archives.
We’re starting with two albums that were seminal in band’s story: ‘Approach’ and ‘Love Remains The Same.’
APPROACH
Our “breakthrough” second album ‘Approach’ was originally released in 2006 and won an EMMA Award for ‘Best Rock Album of the Year’. Since then, technology and mastering processes have changed so much that we thought the album would benefit from a remaster by Henkka Niemistö. For the special edition re-issue of the vinyl LP we raided the archives for some bonus live rarities from 2008. The platinum-foiled double platinum vinyl LP comes in platinum foiled gatefold sleeve and will be limited to 500 copies. CDs and new ‘Approach’ merch bundles are available in our webshop. LOVE REMAINS THE SAME
Our third album ‘Love Remains The Same’ was our first Number 1 album in Finland. We thought we’d lost the original recordings, but while going through our archives we found an old hard drive and once we found the right cable to connect it, found all the original sessions! We always felt that the album could do with more punch and drive, and immediately thought about remixing it for our 25th Anniversary year. Our friend Jussi Jaakonaho who has mixed many of our songs was up for the task. The remixed and remastered version of Love Remains The Same will be issued as a limited ‘gold edition’ double LP with gold-foiled gatefold packaging and gold vinyl. The vinyl release includes three additional live tracks recorded at Tavastia in 2008. New merch, CDs and bundles are also available to pre order for release on 17th April.
